‘Surprise Reversal Sees Russia PULL Troops Deployed to Conduct Military Drills at Ukraine Border’

Russia’s Defence Minister has ordered troops back to their permanent bases on Thursday.

The order came after massive drills took place amid tensions with Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy welcomed the pullback along their border.

However, the Defence Minister ordered weapons to be kept in western Russia for another military exercise later this year.

The Russian troop build-up near Ukraine’s border had raised concerns in the West.

Separatist rebels and Ukrainian troops have been fighting since Russia’s annexation of Crimea.

More than 14,000 people have died since the outbreak of violence in 2014.
