The first foreign commercial flight to land in Afghanistan since the Taliban takeover could be seen flying off from Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul on Monday.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK 6250 flew back to Islamabad at around 11 AM local time (06:30 GMT), reportedly transporting World Bank employees back to Pakistan.
The airport resumed domestic flights on September 3, and last week Qatar Airlines operated privately chartered flights out of Kabul.
Taliban forces took control of Hamid Karzai International Airport in early September, following the complete departure of US personnel and their allies on August 30th.
