Stills released by the Government of Spain on Wednesday show the departure from Kabul of the first Spanish military plane designated to evacuate Spanish and Afghan citizens who have worked for Spain, after the Taliban seized power.

The photographs show the Air Force A400 aircraft embarking the first group of Spaniards and collaborating personnel.

According to government sources reported in the media, the plane has already taken off for Dubai with 55 people on board.

The A400M aircraft have a capacity of about 140 occupants.
