‘Afghan FLOOD Kills 150 as Clean-Up Operation Begins’

Clean-up operations have begun after a devastating flood in an Afghan village.

The remote village of Merdesh was hit by a flash flood killing at least 150 people.

Villagers carried the body of a child wrapped in a piece of cloth, recovered from the rubble.

Taliban-controlled Merdesh is in Nuristan’s Kamdesh district, near the Pakistan border.

It’s unclear how equipped the Taliban are to deal with rural emergencies like these.

A Taliban spokesperson has ordered that $62,000 is spent to help clean-up and rebuild.
