Battle of Seattle: Teen Killed in Another CHOP Shooting

A 16-year-old has been killed and a 14-year-old is in a critical condition after a shooting inside Seattle’s CHOP, a self-proclaimed police-free zone.

This is only the latest in a a series of shooting incidents in the area, with four other people shot in the last 10 days.

The escalation in violence has prompted local authorities to take steps to dismantle the protest zone, but attempts to do so have failed last week.

Since then, negotiations between protesters and officials have broken down. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has threatened to “take back” the city.
