Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Belarus has ‘nothing to do’ with the emergence of the migrant crisis situation on its border with Poland. The president of Russia made the remarks in an interview with the author and host of the programme “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin”, Pavel Zarubin, on the TV channel Russia 1 in Moscow on Saturday.

“Do not forget where these crises associated with migrants came from. Belarus is the discoverer of these problems? because everyone took part, say, in operations in Iraq, and now there are a lot of Kurds from Iraq. They fought in Afghanistan for 20 years, and now there are more and more Afghans there. Belarus has nothing to do with it,” said the head of state.

The president stressed that Russia also has nothing to do with the crisis of the migrants who have been on the border of Belarus and Poland for several days. “They are trying to impose any responsibility on us for any reason and for no reason at all. Our aviation companies do not carry these people. None of our companies carry them,” said the head of state.
