A large fire involving thousands of scrap tyres has caused disruption in Bradford, England.

The blaze, a mile south of the city centre, is believed to have begun at about 04:30.

Schools and roads in the area have been closed as a precautionary measure.

Officials say about 100 firefighters were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown and no casualties have been reported.
