Dramatic footage purports to show the moment two police officers were shot during a protest in Louisville, Kentucky.

Angry demonstrations broke out across the US after a grand jury’s decision not to charge police for the fatal shooting of a black woman.

Breonna Taylor, an emergency medical worker, was shot multiple times by white officers who raided her home on a no-knock warrants in March 2020.

The warrant was connected to a narcotics investigation into a suspect who did not live there.

Prosecutors said the officers were justified in their use of force to protect themselves, after they were shot at by Ms Taylor’s boyfriend. He later told police he thought Ms Taylor’s ex had broken into the apartment.

This comes after a wave of anti-racism demonstrations spread across the US and beyond, triggered by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May.
