A Ceres-1 launch vehicle launched five Jilin-1 Gaofen-03D satellites (吉林一号高分03D) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, Gansu Province, China, on 16 November 2022, at 06:20 UTC (14:20 local time). Ceres-1 (谷神星一号) is a small solid propellant launch vehicle developed by Galactic Energy (星河动力) to carry a payload of up to 350 kg to low Earth orbit (LEO). According to official sources, the satellites were successfully placed into the planned orbits and “will be used to provide commercial remote sensing services”.
