China: Canadian embassy in Beijing exhibits massive flag in solidarity with Ukraine

The Canadian embassy in Beijing has put a banner at the embassy in solidarity with Ukraine on Tuesday. The banner (reading “We support Ukraine”) written in Mandarin and displaying the colours of the Ukrainian flag is another expression of the political position of Ottawa towards the ongoing conflict in the eastern European country.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau declared earlier on Tuesday on a press conference held in Ottawa that the Canadian government would cut the oil imports from Russia, ban the airplanes from its airspace, and freeze the foreign assets of the Russian Central Bank among more measures.

The Russian army is on its fifth day of military intervention in Ukraine, while peace talks are held between Kiev and Moscow in Belarus.
