Dramatic timelapse footage shows an enormous cloud of smoke billowing from the Cameron Peak wildfire in Colorado.

More than 1,000 firefighters are battling the blaze, which is now the largest wildfire in the US state’s history.

Over 164,000 acres have been burned since the fire started in August.

Communities in the proximity of the blaze have been evacuated, and several roads closed.

So far no deaths have been reported, and authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
