‘DEADLY Prison Riot Between Rival Gangs’

After months of unrest, another prison riot in Guayaquil, Ecuador, has killed at least 24 inmates and injured 48 more on Tuesday.

A police and military operation managed to regain control of the regional prison after five hours.

The violence in the penitentiary reportedly involved gunfire, knives and explosions.

The unrest was caused by a dispute between the ‘Los Lobos’ and ‘Los Choneros’ prison gangs.
