A shipment of humanitarian cargo totaling over 110 tons was delivered from the Republic of Crimea to the Ukrainian city of Melitopol, located in the south of the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine, to assist the local population.
The cargo includes food products - cereals, canned meat and fish, confectionery and bakery products, sweets, bottled drinking water.
The security of the humanitarian convoy was provided by Russian servicemen.
The entire humanitarian cargo was handed over to the head of the Melitopol city administration for further distribution to social institutions and residents of the city, as well as to the population of nearby settlements.
In accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, since March 2, 2022, federal executive authorities, state corporations and organizations, as well as executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation have organized work to collect and deliver humanitarian aid to the population of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and Ukraine.
