Dozens Arrested During Heated Woman's March in Minsk

Dozens of women have been arrested in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, after several thousand people gathered on September 12 for what was billed as a woman’s march.

Riot police moved in to break up, according to authorities, an unsanctioned protest.

Protesters chanted slogans such as ‘Get out!’ and ‘Women stick together’.

Some of the women tried to pull off officers’ balaclavas to expose their faces.
