Dramatic Rescue Operation as Residential Building Collapses in India Killing Dozens

A residential five-storey building with more than 45 apartments collapsed on Monday evening in Mahad, in the central state of Maharashtra, about 170km away from Mumbai.

At least 13 people have been killed and several are missing as the rescue operations are still ongoing.

More than 60 people came out alive from the debris.

Building collapses are unfortunately common in India, especially during the monsoon season.
