East Jerusalem: Gunman kills one and injures at least three more in Old City attack

One person was killed and at least three others were wounded in Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday in a gun attack.

The assailant was shot dead by Israeli police after he injured two police officers.

In a statement, Hamas confirmed the attacker, presented as Fadu Abu Shukhaydam, was a member of their organisation though they did not directly claim responsibility for the attack.

Today he decided to come with afirearm. Unfortunately, he shot and killed one and wounded another. within a few seconds, two police women appeared and started shooting at him. At the same time, a policeman and a border police soldier arrived and shot towards him.”
