After a failed evacuation on Friday, hundreds of Mariupol residents have now managed to escape the port city.

Many evacuees spent a days walking and waiting for evacuation buses, as they feared for their chances to escape.

Russia and Ukraine agreed to the opening of humanitarian corridors and the withdrawal of troops following talks.

Some agreements appear to have not been respected and some evacuations had to be aborted.
