More than 200 people had to be airlifted to safety after a wildfire ignited in Sierra National Forest in California on Friday August 4.
 
Officials have blamed a pyrotechnic device from a gender reveal party for sparking the blaze that’s now spread to over 7,000 acres.
 
Local media reported at least two serious injuries while 10 more suffered moderate injuries.
 
The fire is one of two dozen burning across the state. Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency in five counties across California.
