France: Police and protesters clash as Eric Zemmour visits Marseille

Police clashed with demonstrators in Marseille on Friday night, as hundreds hit the streets in protest over Eric Zemmour visiting the city.

The hotel in which Zemmour decided to stay was cordoned off. Police fired tear gas in response to protesters throwing fireworks and other objects at the police.

Eric Zemmour is a conservative journalist that is considered a possible right-wing candidate for the 2022 French presidential election.
