France: Protester throws egg at President Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron had an egg thrown at him by a protester in Lyon on Monday while attending the Sirha gastronomy expo.

The egg bounced off the President and cracked upon hitting the ground.

The thrower of the egg was arrested and taken into custody.

The last attack on President Macron was June 8 when a man slapped the French president and was later sentenced to 18 months prison. The attacker was recently released after serving four months of this sentence.
