France: Scuffles and clashes mark Yellow Vests protest in Paris

There were scuffles and clashes between police officers and protesters during a Yellow Vests protest in Paris on Saturday.

The latest rally comes just days after the approval of the draft for the COVID pass law by the French National Assembly which would require people over the age of 12 to provide proof of vaccination to access leisure activities, restaurants, bars, fairs or public transport.

After having been approved by the National Assembly, this draft law will still need the votes in the Senate to be fully endorsed.

Several similar protest marches were held in other French cities throughout the day, including Toulouse and Montpellier.
