France: Yellow Vests protesters among rally-goers slamming health pass in Paris

Protesters marched in Paris on Saturday as Yellow Vests staged a protest against the health pass and mandatory vaccination for some categories of the population.

French authorities have recently rolled out a new COVID-19 health pass amid a surge in infections. As of Wednesday, July 21, in order to visit cultural venues and sports matches, people are required to show proof of vaccination, a negative test, or recent recovery from COVID-19.

A similar demonstration held in Paris last week brought 160,000 people to the streets and resulted in clashes with police and multiple arrests.
