France: Violence as police clash with residents in Parisian suburb

Clashes broke out for the fourth night in a row in the Paris suburb of Corbeil-Essonnes.

Police could be seen running, carrying riot guns and pepper spray.

The National Police of Essonne stated that officers were attacked with Molotov cocktails and petanque balls.

Fireworks were launched and several rubbish bin were set on fire.

According to local media, the recent violence could be linked to the arrest of two bothers four days ago that escalated.

Police officers arrested one man who was suspected of taking part in an ‘urban rodeo’ on a motocross bike.

His brother reportedly tried to intervene and was also arrested, while bystanders started throwing objects at the police officers, local outlets say.
