Banners mocking the Greens logo and election campaign have gone up in Germany’s capital, footage from Thursday showed.
As the parliamentary election campaign unfolds in Germany, thousands of banners against the Green Party appeared in the streets of German cities, including Berlin.
The campaign called ‘Green crap’ depicts withered flowers along with slogans ‘Ecodictatorship’ and ‘Climate socialism’.
The campaign is reportedly sponsored by David Bendels, a former CDU member who is currently affiliated with AfD (Alternative for Germany).
The Green Party harshly criticised the banners calling it a “right-wing dirt campaign”, while some of the banners were already destroyed or damaged.
