Germany: Environmental activists block port by glueing themselves to road *STILLS*

Activists blocked roads connecting to the port of Hamburg in the early hours of Monday morning.

Several protesters carried banners reading ‘Save Food - Save Lives’ while being glued to the asphalt of the road with one hand.

Journalists could be seen interviewing participants at the scene, whilst vehicles queued up behind.
Environmental activism group ‘Uprising of the Last Generation’ has staged a number of protests in the last few weeks to draw attention to their demand for a law against food waste, which would legalise, among other things, the practice of dumpster diving.
