Germany: Investigators on site of crime after deadly shooting of two police officers

Police investigators were present at the site of a deadly shooting of two police officers on the K22 road near Ulmet on Monday.

The two officers, both in their twenties, were shot dead during a routine road check earlier in the day.

The perpetrators of the crime are at large, with details regarding their getaway vehicle and identities being currently unknown, although a search is currently ongoing.

Authorities have issued a warning for members of the public to avoid picking up hitchhikers in the area.
