Germany: Medical workers flood Karlsruhe street to encourage vaccinations

The rescue and medical service organizations held an action on Saturday in Karlsruhe to encourage people to get vaccinated and comply with the corona protection measures.
A doctor at the demonstration said, “there are so many people currently who will not get vaccinated and it is very important for us because for us in the medical field we are working at our limit. We are completely out of power and the unvaccinated are flooding the intensive care units they are completely overwhelmed.”
A chain of lights were displayed in Kaiserstrasse after dark, with ambulance cars turning on their blue lights and city hall bells ringing out.

SOT Alina, Health care worker: “We are just here to make a sign to say to everybody that the coronavirus is real and that the vaccination is very important to us, for us and for you to do it that is why we are here today.”

SOT Alina, Health care worker: “My colleagues and me, we are from the operative sector. We are working with operations and we are never seen and even we have problems with coronavirus and people who are not vaccinated. And that is why we are here today.”

SOT, Doctor (German): “We want to show how important vaccinations are and we can only get through this pandemic if we vaccinate the population. There are so many people currently who will not get vaccinated and it is very important for us because for us in the medical field we are working at our limit. We are completely out of power and the unvaccinated are flooding the intensive care units they are completely overwhelmed. We want to bring that to attention that the people will be reasonable and get vaccinated.”
