Berlin residents reacted the ongoing COVID-19 vaccine campaign on Monday, as new coronavirus cases are skyrocketing in the country.

Berliners were seen queuing to receive the vaccine against COVID-19, which remains free of charge.

“I do believe the more people get vaccinated the easier the [winter] will be,” said one local.

New cases of the coronavirus have been soaring in the country recent weeks, with 184,505 new confirmed cases last week, the highest of any week since the start of the pandemic.
