Minnesota Police have released bodycam footage showing the moment a black man was shot dead.

Daunte Wright was fatally wounded by an officer during a traffic stop near Minneapolis.

Brooklyn Center Police Chief said the incident appeared to have been “an accidental discharge”.

The officer involved, a 26-year veteran, reportedly meant to use her Taser.

Police clashed with hundreds of protesters for a second night near the central police station.

A riot was also declared in Portland, Oregon, after demonstrators marched to protest police brutality.

Tensions are already high in Minneapolis, where a former officer is on trial for the murder of George Floyd.
