Unrest has spread in Haiti as gangs continue their brutal attacks on key sites in the country.

One of the gang leaders behind the violent attempt to remove Prime Minister Ariel Henry has doubled down on his threats.

Jimmy Chérizier, who also goes by the name “Barbecue”, has warned there could be a civil war and “genocide” unless Mr Henry resigns.

Armed gangs, who control around 80% of the capital, launched a co-ordinated assault while the PM was out of the country.
