Waffles and Hemingways rescue story - Adoption story of an inseparable miniature horse and goose

Waffles and Hemingway were rescued together by our local SPCA from a pretty bad situation. Waffles had some behavior issues and a little bit of an attitude problem. Hemingway was his protector. The condition for anyone that wanted to adopt them from the SPCA [was] that the two had to be adopted together because they were a bonded pair and best friends. 

When we heard their story, we knew they belonged with us because our little farm is full of rescue animals with unique pasts. It has been so cool to have them as part of our farm family and experience their unique friendship firsthand. Waffles and Hemingway are absolutely best friends. They still live together here at the farm and they share a stall together every night. One is never far from the other, even when they’re hanging out with their new friends. If you see Hemingway, Waffles is close by and vice versa. Hemingway is Waffles’ bodyguard and Waffles doesn’t mind that protection. This unlikely pair has taught us a lot about friendship.
