SOT, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Farsi): “What we are saying is beyond the Persian Gulf. Unfortunately, in the Red Sea, unfortunately in the international arena, we are witnessing the state terrorism of the occupying regime in Jerusalem with the supportive silence of some of these countries, especially the United States and Britain. We strongly warn them to note that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not remain silent about the safety of its merchant ships, and any action that does not comprehensively concern the safety of merchant ships and peace and stability will certainly not go anywhere.”

SOT, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Farsi): “The Islamic Republic of Iran has shown many times, without any exaggeration, that it does not compromise with anyone anywhere on its national security and is not joking with anyone. Everyone should be aware that the Islamic Republic of Iran defends the interests of itself and its people with the language of logic and at the same time with the decisive language.”

SOT, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Farsi): “These remarks by the British Foreign Secretary against the Iranian people are not new statements and are part of a chain of irresponsible statements by officials in Britain in recent years. Of course, to your question, I and the British Foreign Secretary have one thing in common. I and the Islamic Republic of Iran are also concerned about the safety of merchant ships in international waters. This is exactly what Britain did in overt violation in tracking the Iranian tanker Grace 1 in international waters. This bandit act did not work because it had no legal basis and they were forced to release it.”

SOT, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Farsi): “This is not the only action done by the British in international waters in violation of shipping freedom and shipping security. My serious advice to the British government is to pay attention to its responsibilities and duties. The security of the Persian Gulf is the red line for the Islamic Republic of Iran, and we have done our best and will continue to do so to protect this waterway from the insecurities created by countries like Britain. The fact that Britain is on the side of Israel, the rebellious and terrorist regime, unfortunately, shows its position in the international system. The more responsible statements we see from British officials, the better for the region.”

SOT, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Farsi): “The Islamic Republic of Iran has hosted millions of its own Afghan brothers and sisters over the past four decades and has always considered Afghan people like families. And this human look has always existed and will continue, God willing.”
