Mob violence is now a greater danger in Israel than the barrage of rockets fired by Hamas in Gaza, according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Groups of right-wing Jewish nationalists were seen attacking Arab cars and businesses in Bat Yam and Lod, while groups of Palestinians were caught on CCTV attacking Jews.

The situation in the Israel-Palestine conflict is reaching its worst since 2014, as the UN warns of a return to ‘full-scale war’.

The tensions stem from the proposed evictions of Palestinians from the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of east Jerusalem.
