Jordan: Prince Charles meets King Abdullah II in first overseas trip since pandemic

British royals the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were seen meeting their Jordanian counterparts, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman on Tuesday. The trip marked the Prince and Duchess’ first official overseas visit since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The royals were seen shaking hands on a red carpet outside the palace, before entering the building for talks.
This year marks the centenary of the founding of Jordan, as well as 100 years of UK-Jordan bilateral relations.
The British royals will spend four days in the region, remaining in Jordan until 18 November before travelling to Egypt until 19 November.
