Donald Trump and his campaign team are refusing to concede defeat in the presidential election.

At a press conference led by Trump’s Press Secretary and personal advisor Kayleigh McEnany, his legal representatives claimed the process of determining an ‘accurate’ vote count had only just begun.

But a live broadcast of McEnany’s statement was cut off by Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto, after she made unsubstantiated claims about illegal votes influencing the results of the election.

Fox News - for a long time Trump’s favourite US network - has joined other conservative news outlets, including the New York Post, in distancing itself from the president and his claims about election fraud.
