This Christmas, residents of San Diego County, California, are waking up to wildfires.

The largest single fire in the history of the state has raged through 3000 acres of land

Efforts to control the flames are ongoing as local sheriffs and fire crews collaborate.

Planes and helicopters are using nearby lakes to gather water to fight the blaze.

There is good news however, as authorities say the fire is contained.
