‘Life On the Frontline: Ukraine on the Brink of War’

US President Joe Biden has approved sending additional forces to Eastern Europe.

The US president told a briefing that the 1,000 forces currently based in Germany would be repositioned to Romania and a further 2,000 troops would be deployed to Poland and Germany.

Moscow continues to deny any plans to invade, despite posting around 100,000 troops near the border.

The crisis comes eight years after Russia annexed Ukraine’s southern Crimea peninsula.

While higher powers fight over borders, the reality for those living on the frontline is one of fear and foreboding.
