Live from Germany’s Rhineland-Palatinate following deadly floods

Ruptly is live from the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate on Thursday, July 15, following heavy rains and flooding that left at least four dead and dozens missing in different towns of the western state.

According to reports, several houses have collapsed while several others are in danger of collapsing in the districts of Schuld and Ahrweiler, where dozens are either missing or stranded on rooftops.

The floods also prompted mass evacuations and several road closures. Fire brigades and rescue workers have been deployed to multiple cities in the area.
