Live from Turkey's Mugla province as fires spread across Turkish coast

Ruptly is live from Milas, in the Turkish province of Mugla, on Wednesday, August 4, as wildfires are continuing to rage on the southern coast of the country, forcing more evacuations.

On Tuesday, the mayor of Milas - a town located inland in the Mugla district - said the fires were approaching a local power plant.

The European Union sent firefighting helicopters to Turkey on Monday to help battle the wildfires.

The death toll from the fires climbed to eight on Sunday after the bodies of a Turkish-German couple were found in their burnt home in Manavgat, Antalya Province.
