Firefighters used planes and helicopters while battling wildfires burning across Turkey’s southern coast from Bodrum to Milas.

Smoke could be seen rising from the trees as helicopters dropped water from the sky.

The fires have ravaged the coast for five days, prompting evacuations.

The death toll from the fires climbed to eight on Sunday after bodies of a Turkish-German couple were found in their burned home in Manavgat, Antalya.
