Live from outside New York Southern District Court following a session on Tuesday, January 4, to hear arguments in the case of Prince Andrew’s alleged involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Just ahead of the hearing, the court disclosed a settlement agreement between Epstein and accuser Virginia Giuffre dating back to 2009. The document says that Giuffre, who claims to have been sexually assaulted by Prince Andrew when she was 17, received $500,000 in return for not suing anyone related to Epstein who might be considered a ‘potential defendant.’

Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied the claims against him.

The session ended as the judge promised to make the decision whether to dismiss the case “very soon”.
