LIVE: Merkel and Zelensky hold joint press conference after their meeting in Kiev

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hold a joint press conference following their meeting in Kiev, on Sunday August 22.
The leaders are expected to discuss bilateral relations as well as a range of issues including the Nord Stream 2 project.

During his last meeting with Merkel in July, Zelensky said Nord Stream 2 poses “a potential security threat to the region”.
The talks come a day after Merkel’s visit to Moscow, where she met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
