US Department of State spokesperson Ned Price holds a press briefing in Washington DC on Tuesday, February 1.

The briefing will follow a phone call between the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday morning. This conversation is due to be the first direct dialogue between the two diplomats since their meeting in Geneva in January and follows an exchange of positions in relation to Russia’s security demands.
