Luxembourg: Borrell denies nuclear talks with Iran in Brussels, slams Nicaragua's 'fake' elections

The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell denied in Luxembourg on Monday reports that Tehran and the EU are meeting in the Belgium capital on Thursday for nuclear talks.

“But we made clear to the Iranians that time is not on their side and it’s better to go back to the negotiation table quickly,” Borrell added in the news conference following an EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting.

The EU top diplomat also condemned Nicaragua’s government, calling it “one of the worst dictatorships in the world” and deeming the upcoming general elections as “fake.”
