‘Major Train Crash in Egypt Leaves Dozens Dead’

Dozens were killed and many more injured when two trains collided north of the Egyptian city of Sohag.

Three passenger cars were flipped over in the crash, trapping those inside among the debris.

Egypt’s railway authorities said that the emergency brake had been pulled on one of the trains by “unknown individuals” before the collision.

The brakes caused one of the trains to stop and the other to crash into it from behind, and the authority is conducting further investigations, it said.
