In Antarctica, the Weddell seal lives year-round. This marin mammal instinctively knows how to adapt to the world’s coldest climate. But before he finds himself at ease on the ice bank and in the frozen waters beneath it, the young Weddell seal must undergo tough initiation tests. On the thick crust of ice that covers the sea and in the labyrinth below, the documentary follows the Weddell seal in its first few weeks of life.
