‘Massive Fire Erupts At Indonesian Oil Refinery’

A massive fire has erupted at one of Indonesia’s biggest oil refineries.

The fire broke out at Balongan refinery in West Java province on early Monday morning.

Firefighters struggled to contain the blaze, destroying the refinery operated by state oil company Pertamina.

At least five people were seriously injured and over 1,000 local residents evacuated from the scene.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown but Pertamina states it started during heavy rain and lighting.
