Sara and Angel were born at a facility that raises pigs for meat. They were not doing well and the owner told his estranged vegetarian daughter if she didn’t come get them, they’d die. The daughter immediately went and picked them up but wasn’t able to house them for long term. That’s when two sanctuaries jumped in to save Sara and Angel. Road To Refuge Sanctuary agreed to foster them and then the plan was to transfer them to the Arthur’s Acres Sanctuary. Sadly, Angel’s condition was quite serious and she died due to organ failure. Meanwhile, Sara’s life journey continued in a loving environment.

And she charmed everyone with her playful, adorable demeanor. Weeks later, she was transferred to Arthur’s Acres where she continues to live a fabulous life. She’s got numerous animal friends and is surrounded by people who love her. I’m going to cry because she’s comfortable. She feels safe. She’s especially close to Todd, the founder of Arthur’s Acres.
