Montenegro: Hostage crisis suspect surrenders to police after standoff

A hostage situation ended with the suspect surrendering to negotiators on Tuesday after a stand-off at a local bank, in the Montenegrin city of Bar.
The 36-year old suspect named Edin Begzic reportedly threatened to blow up explosives which he was allegedly wearing, while holding hostages.
Previously, Begzic had posted a YouTube video calling on the prime minister, deputy prime minister and president of the parliament to help recover money from the bank as part of a dispute.
According to local reports, Begzic posted a message outside of the bank reading: “Give back the money you stole from [the] employees of Primorka.”
During the video, Begzic claimed that he would enter the bank with tear gas, a loaded pistol, Molotov cocktails and two improvised explosive devices, whilst wearing a mask and bulletproof vest.
