‘Murder Suspect NAMED in Killing of Tory MP’

The suspected killer of MP Sir David Amess has been named and is being held on terror charges.

The 25-year-old is being held under the Terrorism Act and officers have until Friday to question him.

Ali Harbi Ali was reportedly referred to Prevent counter-terrorism scheme some years ago.

Early investigations indicated that Ali’s motive was potentially linked to Islamic extremism.
